The applicant must have served at least 10 years of continuous service in the government , and for Ministry of Health workers, at least 2 years of continuous service.

The applicant should also not be under any disciplinary proceedings at the time of application

*Procedures*

The Applicant pays for their vehicle so that they get Profoma Invoice, Final Invoice and bill of lading

The respective Ministry will then vet the applicant, and if successful, write a recommendation letter to the Public Service Commission.

The Public Service Comission processes the papers and fowards them to the Ministry of Finance.

If the applicant is successful , the Ministry of Finance then grants the rebate of duty on a motor vehicle with a maximum Duty value of $7500 for Grade D1 to D5, $10000 for grade E employees, $3500 for grade B and $5000 for grade C employees, $20 000 for Deputy directors and $30 000 specialists Doctors.
