⚡Follow these four pro tips to keep your VW LED lights shining bright:
1. Keep it Cool (Check the Vents)💡
LEDs run much cooler than old bulbs, but the electronics behind them generate heat. Most units have small heat sinks or fans. Ensure there is no mud or debris buildup around the back of the headlight housing so they can "breathe" properly.
2. Clean with Care💡
Modern lens covers are made of polycarbonate. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh household chemicals that can cause micro-scratches.
The Fix: Use a soft microfiber cloth and dedicated automotive soap to prevent "clouding."
3. Watch for Condensation💡
A little fogging after a heavy downpour is sometimes normal, but if you see standing water or heavy droplets inside the lens, your seals might be compromised. Moisture is the enemy of LED circuitry!
4. Professional Alignment💡
Because LEDs are so bright, a misaligned beam doesn’t just hurt your visibility—it blinds oncoming drivers. If you’ve recently hit a major pothole or had suspension work done, have our team check your "aim."
BONUS TIP: If you notice one LED flickering or a change in color temperature (turning slightly yellow or purple), it’s time for a diagnostic.
Don't stay in the dark. Bring your vehicle to CFAO Mobility Zambia for a professional lighting inspection and ensure your LEDs are performing exactly as they should.
