I really must tell you this! Yesterday, I was not aware that I had a problem with my break lights. Therefore, after I have parked my car from 08:00 till my knock off time yesterday at 15:30, and I was the last one to leave the office due to the power outage yesterday. I noticed that my car lights seemed to be on. But, I know that in the morning, I am quite sure that I did switch them off. Even the car would signal to me when I get out of the car that my lights are still on. But, when I started the car, no problem, the car still started. But, at that time, I just wanted to leave. In my mind, I did not anticipate that the car may not start since my lights seemed to be on. After leaving my workplace, I went to Kibler Park Pharmacy and Spar. Upon arrival at the car after grocery shopping, I could see at the backside of the car that my car lights seemed to be on. And, it looked that it was only my car with the lights that were on. Other cars' lights were off. And, I drove to my home. And, yes👍🏿, the car did start again. At home, whilst I was going to open the boot, having switched off my car, the backside lights were still on again, and very hot when you feel them. I removed my grocery out of the boot of my car and then parked it nicely inside my yard. I went inside the house and locked, but inside house I could see that the glare from the car lights was too bright. And, remember that we did not have lights too. At home too from 17:15 we had power outage. I sat down and phoned a friend of mine and also my car mechanic about this problem, but unfortunately they could not assist me. Lastly, I phoned my neighbour, Mr Ronald Forbes, to come and at least disconnect for me the car battery because if the car is left all night with the lights on, it will definitely harm my new battery that I have just purchased last month. Mr Forbes did not waste time and came immediately. He opened the driver's door and pressed the break lights switch, I guess; and the backlights were off immediately. He, therefore, needed not to disconnect my car battery. He said to me that the break lights switch was damaged, therefore he could get me a new one and I agreed to it. Therefore, he removed it so that he may get me a new one. Therefore, for now, I shall have to drive with my hazards on since I do not have break lights. But, he said to me that he would try to get me the break lights switch as soon as he possibly can before the end of the week.
What a story for me yesterday, Estelle! And, if it wasn't for my new car battery, I would not have thought fast to get help immediately. At work, to my surprise, there was no alert for me whatsoever that my car lights were being left on! I am really, really surprised!🫤But, above all, I thank👏🏽God for everything yesterday because He proved to be there for me, and he even got me Mr Forbes to assist me. Thanks👏🏽, to you too, my Dearest Estelle! I just thought that I should let you know because your battery is definitely strong and powerful because I know with some batteries just a mere 1 or 2 hours a car parked outside the church or a car just parked with the lights on or maybe a radio on, the car battery would have long died!😭 Thanks👏🏽again, Dearest Estelle and your Fantastic Team at Bekker Batteries!
