Needed these two matched guides to hold the curved profile of this panel while forming the beads.
Bent up two pieces of 1mm (19 gauge), clamped them together, and ran them through the stretcher. Job done.

Boxed out the longitudinal members in the SLR bonnet inner structure - pretty happy with the torsional stiffness achieved before the skin goes on. Hoping we wont need any additional bracing.

The art with welds on sheet metal is to make it seem that they were never there.
Scoring this one 9/10.

Wrapped up the fuel tank on the SLR - took a bit of packaging to get to the desired 70+ litres and allow space for two spare wheels like the original car, and still be able to remove the tank through the boot opening.

Instrument panel section on the SLR dash has a lot going on - it made sense to fill in between the stations on the buck to create a simple hammerform.

Working on the 300SLR dashboard. Scuffing the inside of the panel with scotchbrite makes is very easy to see spots that contacting the buck.

Crushing tucks on the English Wheel. Be sure to set your clearance a little more than material thickness. After that it's all about controlling the material laterally and longitudinal to make sure the top wheel hits the 'high' before the lower.
As ever there are many ways to get to the end result - I like this method particularly when a lot of shape change is needed in one spot on an otherwise fairly low crown panel.
