In a medical emergency, the minutes between an alert and treatment matter.

Following a serious stabbing incident in South Africa, AURA coordinated emergency medical response to a critically injured patient.

Here’s how the response unfolded:

🩺 Multiple severe wounds treated

🏥 Patient safely transported to hospital for further care

The patient was experiencing heavy bleeding and a traumatic brain injury, making fast access to qualified medical support critical.

One of the most useful things you can do for your own safety is know how you’ll get help before you need it.

That means knowing:

- how to activate your panic or emergency response service

- where that panic is on your phone, app or device

- what happens after you activate it

- who you can contact if you feel unsafe

- where you can go if you need to leave a situation quickly

It also means trusting yourself. If something feels off, you are allowed to move, leave, call someone or ask for help before the situation escalates.
