Have you been using Phono-Graphix for a while and are now ready to take it to the next level?

Do you ever find yourself wondering:

• Am I spending too much time revising before moving forward?
• Should I still be teaching sight word lists in isolation?
• Why do I still feel tempted or pressured to return to some of my traditional phonics habits?

You’re not alone.

Join our Advanced Phono-Graphix Workshop and discover how to make your classroom or practice truly PG rated — applying Phono-Graphix principles more effectively to maximise teachable moments and build on what learners already know.

Continue your journey from Sound → Symbol → Meaning with greater confidence and impact. Join us for our Advanced Workshop as we help you take Phono-Graphix to the next level.

In celebration of World Read Aloud Day, we shared the Nal’ibali story “A New Friend,” which highlights the journey of Hope, a deaf learner, and the importance of inclusion, empathy, and kindness within our classrooms and communities. Through this initiative, we had the privilege of reading to over 200 learners at Diepsloot Combined School, Diepsloot Primary 4, and our multi-grade Homework Club. In addition to being read to, learners were also given the opportunity to read the story aloud themselves, encouraging confidence, participation, and a deeper connection to the message of inclusion. Storytelling remains a powerful tool in promoting literacy and social awareness.📚❤️

We extend our sincere gratitude to Nal'ibali for sponsoring this initiative and to Edu Fun SAfor successfully carrying it out. We also appreciate Read For Africa for being a significant part of this impactful literacy journey. ‼️😁

A new year reminds us that real change happens quietly — in classrooms, therapy rooms, homes, and in every moment someone takes the time to teach, guide, and believe.
At Read For Africa, we remain committed to strengthening reading skills and nurturing a lifelong love of reading. Because when a learner reads with confidence, everything changes.
Here’s to another year of inspiring, equipping, and empowering learners across Africa.
📚✨ Together, we make reading possible.

It was so good to have our Phono-Graphix Tutors and interns in training from Sparrow’s Foundation and Combined Schools join us in Diepsloot last week for our Holiday Buddy Reader Programme. Thank you Sparrow Schools Educational Trust for your support last week!

Looking forward to more Sparrows being exposed to Phono-Graphix in term 3!

It might be school holidays but the tutors and teachers from our Combined Tehnical Skills School are keeping busy. They visited the Diepsloot Combined School for an observation, on Phonographix, with Read For Africa .

Thank you to Read For Africa and the Diepsloot Combined School for giving them the opportunity.

Thank YOU Simple Sacks for another generous delivery … It was amazing to be able to distribute the 70 sacks to the families most in need at Diepsloot Combined School at the beginning of the new term!
Thank YOU too for facilitating the donation of stationery packs from Caxton Press - which were all given out today as part of the pre Women’s Day celebrations. 📝 📕
