Glasfit Secure Tint was initially started in June 2004 to cater for the window film and security needs of Glasfit's extensive customer base. The customer base was varied and included Fleet and Insurance Companies, as well as many blue chip corporate companies. Since then, Glasfit Secure Tint has built a solid reputation in the market for excellent service delivery and good value, resulting in many dealerships and dealership groups moving their business to Secure Tint. In 2005 and 2006 Secure Tint was appointed as an approved supplier to BMW, General Morors, and Ford. This recognition from the vehicle manufacturers confirmed the high quality of products and services supplied by secure tint. This recognition combined with excellent pricing and customer service has led to a steady growth in the dealership market. During 2007, in response to market demand for a comprehensive and complete solution to all their motor vehicle accessory requirements, the decision was made to re-engineer the company to better fit this profile. With the acquisition of accessory fitment centres in Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town, Secure Fit was launched in July 2008. Secure Fit now provides a complete solution to the automotive aftermaket, including Customer Care Consultants and software based measuring tools. The Secure Tint brand will be retained as the company's safety and security film division. With over 33 branches in operation the company now rates as one of the largest fitment solution companies in the market.
