**Meet Xoliswa Mzondo – MMG Nissan Queenstown’s only female technician!**

From qualifying as a technician at Volkswagen in 2019 to becoming the woman who solved a mystery that had kept a car off the road for **400 days**, Xoliswa’s story is one of determination, skill and perseverance.

When a customer’s car seemed impossible to fix, Xoliswa tracked down the problem: incorrectly positioned VVT-i timing gears. With careful work and technical know-how, she got the engine running again without putting the customer through unnecessary expense.

But Xoliswa’s contribution goes beyond the workshop. She’s the colleague who finishes her own work and asks, “Can I assist?” — a true team player who has worked hard to earn her place in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Her advice to young women interested in becoming technicians? **“Go to a dealer and start an apprenticeship.”**

And there’s one little detail still outstanding: the dealership braai promised if someone could get that 400-day problem solved!

Liana Schoeman, we believe a deal is a deal! The engine is running, the customer is happy, and we think it’s time to light that fire!

**Xoliswa, your determination and dedication make us proud. Encore!**
