🔥 GOLF MK6 GTI – GETTING READY FOR BIG TURBO POWER! 🔥

This Golf MK6 GTI came into Apex Automotive for some important upgrades in preparation for its upcoming BIG TURBO setup. 👀🚀

We fitted a massive 101mm performance intake to improve airflow into the turbo, but we didn’t stop there.

🔧 We also custom fabricated a new boost pipe to replace the restrictive factory-style flat “pancake” boost pipe.

The goal is simple: remove unnecessary restrictions and improve airflow before turning up the power. 💨🔥

❌ Oil pump chain completely broken!

This is not something you want to ignore. A failed oil pump drive can result in loss of oil pressure and potentially cause serious engine damage.

To get this BMW sorted properly, we carried out:

✅ Complete oil pump chain kit replacement
✅ Brand-new timing chain kit
✅ New front brake discs
✅ New rear brake pads
✅ Full inspection before putting everything back together

🏁 OUR RECIPE IS WORKING… AND WE’RE NOT DONE YET. 🔥

Another day out racing with the Apex Golf 7R, and we’re extremely happy with the direction this car is heading.

It was a tough day at the track with almost everyone struggling to put down their usual times, but nonetheless, we walked away as the quickest hybrid-turbo Golf of the day. 💪

And the best part?
✅ Less hardware mods than many of the other builds
✅ Full street trim
✅ No stripping the car down for race day
✅ Driven the way it runs on the street
✅ Still plenty left to improve

We’ve been working on a specific recipe with this car, making changes one step at a time — and it’s starting to come together.

We’re getting very close to where we want the car to be, but there are still a few things we want to dial in before we call it done.

This isn’t the final result. 👀

This Audi Q7 3.0 TDI came into Apex Automotive looking for more than just extra power—it needed a solution to years of carbon and soot build-up.

After a full inspection, we found heavy soot deposits throughout the intake system, a common issue caused by the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system. Over time, the EGR continuously recirculates exhaust gases back into the intake, allowing soot and carbon to accumulate, restricting airflow and reducing engine efficiency.

👀 The amount of soot that had built up was incredible!

This Jeep Renegade 1.4 Turbo came into Apex Automotive with the check engine light illuminated and a noticeable lack of performance.

🔎 Our diagnosis revealed a blocked catalytic converter, causing excessive exhaust backpressure and triggering the engine management light.

✅ We carried out the following:
✔️ Removed the blocked catalytic converter
✔️ Performed a custom ECU calibration with CAT Delete software
✔️ Cleared all fault codes
