Got this unit in Saturday. Here's a good example of a shaft and pinion in a bad condition. The marks on the shaft can be polished but any deeper an the shaft needs to be send for croming. But on this unit the teeth on the shaft and pinion is worn-out so the only method is to get a second hand rack or to get a shaft and pinion which is in a good condition.
