One of the cleanest 3.0 GTV's still around in SA. Fully restored by a well known local restorer and a newly built engine by a legendary Alfa Romeo specialist Busso Engine guru , This car is in beautiful condition inside and out. Mechanically sound and drives like a new car. Car had three owners since new , well kept and maticulously maintained over the past 40 years. A must see , as this is surely one ofthe cleanest examples still around. All the paperwork is in order. Massive money was spent on this car by its previous owner to get it as close to concourse as possible. Seats were imported from the UK , new carburetors , new interior , dash refurbished , new branches and exhaust newly refurbished compomtive wheels and even fitted with a period correct radio as no stone was left unturned in this restoration.
Built for racing Homologation to compete with BMW's 535i and Ford's XR8 in 1983 ,only 212 of these were ever produced and there is only a hand full of these still around and they are quickly becoming very collectable motor cars with similar examples in worse condition fetching R1 250 000 at recent auctions . With deep racing heritage and winning it's debut race at The Kyalami 2hr endurance race it had collectabilty written all over it from the day it first layed rubber on the track. It's 2934cc V6 engine making 137kw was also the most powerful Alfa Romeo production engine ever for it's era.
