Congratulations to my better half and owner of Boem Vas, Sharon Roos for not only winning the ladies section, but also coming 2nd overall in the seniors section. Sharon managed to land and safely release a bus of a cob weighing 37kg according to length. I am so proud of her for the way she negotiated all the fishing lines and anchor ropes to successfully land this fish. I witnessed a real pro at work. Well done bokkie. Also thanks to Raymond Lentz of Gamtoos Angling Club for assisting with the measure and release, ensuring that it would live to fight another day.

Congratulations to Dean Meintjies, the worthy winner of this years Boem Vas sponsor to the Gam 1000 competition worth R5000. Dean caught and released no less than 8 fish during the competition while featuring 4 different Boem Vas products with his fish. Now that's a true Boem Vas supporter.
