- in most cases people want to update lights by installing Led / xenon ... After doing all that the low beams will no longer work , sometimes if you put back the normal bulbs the circuit can rest and work again but in most cases you have to do a FED low beam rest

1. FED low beam rest

1.1 Doing a low beam FED rest needs a diagnostic tool that have rest function for that but sometimes others can just clear faults and all is while but remember you have to put back the normal bulbs

1.2 One thing that you need to keep in mind is that the FED it's only done 5 times so after that the BCM will no longer take FED rest and you need to buy a BCM and program/learn it to the ECU of the vehicle

2. Replacement of BCM, programming and cost

2.1 without day light runner the BCM is
R12 000 plus programming R4 000 in total the repair cost R16 000

2.2 with day light runner the BCM cost
R18 000 plus programming R5 500 the total cost will be R23 500
