✋⛔V12 Toyota 86R Front Brake Upgrade⛔✋
More power and more weight means we need a lot more stopping power! The V12 Toyota 86R has moved away from the standard 275mm front discs and now runs 315mm drilled discs - giving us a disc that is 40mm larger in diameter.

The upgraded discs are also 6mm thicker, which will help with heat management and cooling when braking hard. To match the larger discs, we upgraded the front brakes to Brembo 4-piston calipers.

More power and more weight means we need a lot more stopping power! 📈🛑
Upgrading the front brakes on the V12 Toyota 86R by swapping out the old smooth rotors for high-performance drilled discs to safely bring all that extra V12 momentum to a dead stop.

The V12 Toyota 86R is back on the dyno with an updated result of 329kW and 650Nm from a stock naturally aspirated Toyota 1GZ-FE V12.

The dyno graph comparisons are between the stock 1GZFE (Black Graph) and the standard FA20 engine that was in the Toyota 86 before the project (Red Graph)

🪄Compared with the standard Toyota 86 FA20:
138.9kW / 210.2Nm → 329kW / 650Nm
Gains: +190.1kW (+137.2%) and +439.8Nm (+209%)

🔥Compared with the standard factory 1GZ-FE:
206kW / 481Nm → 329kW / 650Nm
Gains: +123kW (+59.7%) and +169Nm (+35.1%)

A solid result for a stock naturally aspirated V12 Toyota 86.

We will be posting videos on the upcoming power runs and dyno sessions for some last few final adjustments and when we hit the road.

V12 Build Update:
The exhaust is finally done! 🏁 Next up, she’s heading to the dyno for tuning. We’ll be starting with a light tune and a 3000rpm rev limiter to make sure the UniClutch Sport is properly bedded in before we push any further.
One step closer to getting her on the road🔥

After bedding in the UniClutch and engine, we’ve completed our first base map and tune with the new setup. A conservative 95 octane tune is our lowest starting point—let’s see where we go from here! 📈🏎️💨
