The lagoon never really stands still.

Even on those mornings when the water looks like glass, the tide is quietly changing everything.

Water moves in from the sea.
Then makes its way back out again.

Sandbanks appear. Channels change. Birds arrive to feed. Little patches of the lagoon that were underwater a few hours ago begin to show themselves.

When you spend enough time out here, you start noticing its rhythm.

You check the water before heading off.
You notice which way it’s moving.
You begin to recognise places that look completely different a few hours apart.

It’s one of the things we love about living on the lagoon.
