Women should not have to change how they dress, where they go, when they leave, how they travel or how carefully they live simply to stay safe.
Women are not the problem to fix.
The violence is.
The silence surrounding it is.
As Ekurhuleni mourns women whose lives have been taken, we stand with their families, their loved ones and every woman who deserves the freedom to live without fear.
We need a society in which violence against women is challenged, condemned and never normalised.
💜 Change the culture. Challenge the violence. Break the silence.
Enough is enough.
