arrived in Cape Town after their grueling journey from Nairobi with the first 2026 S-Class’s in Africa 😎

As part of our 140 Years of Innovation celebration we are hosting a Mercedes Show at Mercedes Constantiaberg in Tokai, from 6:30pm on Sunday the 30th of August! 🥳

We’d love to show Mercedes Germany all the beautiful classics that Cape Town has offer and not just Mercedes Benz, all are welcome to attend and share the love ❤️

Although the Silver Arrow still needs to do another ~3000km back to Joburg with some Western Cape touring we’re STILL celebrating it’s arrival into Mzansi! 😆💪🇿🇦

Cape Town meet-up this Sunday at 6pm, Mercedes-Benz Constantiaberg 🏁

On Day 1 of this journey the gearbox was telling us we wouldn’t get far 🤣 Everyone in the comments was either saying we’d need to swap to a manual, replace the automatic gearbox or that we were absolute fools who got scammed 😜🤣. Abdul and his team Geco Cafe helped us as much possible with servicing the gearbox’s valve-body and cleaning as much of the sensors as possible. We carried a spare gearbox computer just in case, but overtime we learned that the Silver Arrow has a faulty rough-road-sensor so maybe once a day when we hit a bad enough bump, the box slips into neutral, but its manageable. If you ask me how we fixed the gearbox? I’d assume the computer was relearning itself over time… or maybe some oil lines were clogged? Faith? Eitherway, a Mercedes-Benz always gets you home, whether it was in 1886 or 2026… that’s 140 Years of innovation! 😎

On a side note Cape Town will be the Silver Arrows first taste of intense city traffic since Nairobi… I’m curious to see how that goes because the car hates traffic 🤣🤣
