My son and I watched Robert race the Gould at the 2026 Simola Hillclimb, and it was one of our absolute favourite cars to watch charging up the hill.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Robert’s untimely passing. May he rest in peace, and may justice be served for those responsible.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Not the news we wanted to share at the start of our Cape Town event, especially one Robert was really looking forward to.

Robert was more than a multiple South African champion and fellow competitor; he was a friend to us all, always positive, always smiling.

We will miss you, Robert.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and teammates.
