Reviving our 1968 Honda S800 Roadster – sneak peek! 👀

With the show just a few days away, we’re almost there. The engine and gearbox are back in, the exhaust is fitted, the interior has been cleaned up, and we’ve worked through countless smaller details to get it ready.

If you’d like to see this little Honda in the flesh, come and visit us at Cars in the Park at Swartkops Raceway this Sunday, 2 August 2026.

A huge thank you to Jacques and the entire team at SSBB (Builds) for all the hard work in getting the car ready for the show.

There’s still plenty left to do before the restoration is truly complete, but we’ll share more on that soon. Stay tuned!

Part 1 - Reviving our 1968 Honda S800 Roadster.

We decided to bench test the Honda S800 engine before refitting it to the car. After 20+ years, she fired up on the quarter turn — this brand never ceases to amaze me.

A huge thank you to SSBB Builds for carrying out all the pre-start checks and getting her running again. We won’t get this car running and driving before Pretoria Old Motor Club Cars In The Park 2026 in two weeks, but motor should be in and we know it runs 👌🔥
