It is with profound sadness that Queen Motor Spares Queenstown announces the passing of a cherished colleague and friend, Gerome Stride, who passed away on November 18, 2025. Gerome was 58 years old, born on July 15, 1967.
Gerome's dedication to Queen Motor Spares was evident throughout his remarkable career, which began on September 18, 1995. Over three decades, he embodied the spirit of hard work and commitment, starting in the store as general worker, advancing through the ranks to become an efficient Dispatch Clerk, and ultimately finding his true calling as one of the company's best salesmen.
His colleagues and customers will remember Gerome for his exceptional character. He was known for his consistently helpful and friendly demeanor, always going the extra mile to assist others. More than that, Gerome possessed a strong sense of integrity; he was respected for having the courage to stand his ground when he felt something was not right, a quality that earned him deep trust within the company and the community.
Gerome’s departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by the entire Queen Motor Spares family. His legacy of professionalism, kindness, and steadfast principles will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

A service to celebrate Gerome’s life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 14:00 (2:00 PM) at the St. Davids Anglican Church in Victoria Park, Queenstown.
