I bought this Triumph Bonneville in 1972, an immaculate 1969 model. I paid R550 for it. Quite a lot of money back then. My army pay that year was only R16 per month, and I was earning R14 per week as a 2nd year apprentice. So, I've owned it for 52 years so far. More than half a century, and it's still going. 🙂

The first Ducati I rebuilt, during the late 90's. I used a TT2 frame kit, and a 1983 Ducati Pantah 600SL which I bought to use as a donor bike. It ran superbly, allowing me to win the 2000 MSA East Cape and Border Inter-regional - 1984 Clubman's Unlimited Class racing championships in East London and Port Elizabeth. I posted this photo on the "Ducati Index" website at the time.

My early '80's Ducati Pantah and TT2/TT1-750 race bikes at the Eden Car and Motorcycle Show in Sedgefield on the Garden Route on Sunday. There were lots of other interesting cars and bikes on the show. I'll post an album as soon as I can get to it. It was nice to catch up with a few old friends, made some new ones and chatted to anyone interested enough in the bikes.
