This custom Jetstream Xtreme model has just rolled out and is heading straight to Hlalanathi for its maiden camping trip!
It's been aptly named "Nalu" and we absolutely love this, as it perfectly captures the vibe of just going with the flow and kicking back.

What makes this build special? We fitted a 270-degree awning complete with weather guards (which is exactly what those sturdy rope guides are for!), AND it features a rear tow hitch-mounted bicycle rack!

All battery and all winch.
The shark does not have an traditional alternator and 12v battery like most ICE vehicles, so we rely heavily on pure auxillary battery power and those batteries need to have a high output current,high Ah capacity and the ability to supply stable and high current when required.
On the BYD South Africa Shark 6 , we have fitted a 12v 628Ah Adventure-X Lithium batteries battery,this runs the Opposite Lock Africa 13 000lbs winch with ease,
Here we had to recover a mates vehicle that went down the trail first, got half way down and realized the trail was washed away,was slippery as there was rain for 2 days straight and the top surface was clay and every movement caused him slid
So instead of risking a roll over , we recovered him but up the trail, the Shark was also on the clay and we used another vehicle equipped with Runva 9500lbs winch to support the Shark.
All in all a easy recovery , no vehilces harmed and we could carry on with the trip.

Finally after 3 weeks out in Anchorage, our container is in the port and will be offloading.
We have a very special batch of 230Ah Adventurer batteries arriving, going to be a game changer.
