Following our introduction to this Toyota FJ Cruiser V6, it's time to look at one of the most exciting parts of the project — the **complete exhaust system upgrade!**

Our client recently purchased this FJ Cruiser second-hand and wanted to give it his own personal touch.

And what better way to start than giving that V6 a voice?

🔧 **THE EXHAUST TRANSFORMATION**

Our VAG Automotive team carried out the exhaust upgrade entirely in-house, removing the existing system and fitting the replacement.

V6 AMAROK DDX: TIMING PROBLEM

⚙️🔧 When the Timing Isn’t Right, You Don’t Take Chances.

This V6 Amarok with the DDX engine is in the VAG Automotive workshop with a timing-related problem that needs proper investigation.

On an engine like this, timing is critical. The internal components need to remain precisely synchronised, and when something within the timing system starts going wrong, ignoring the warning signs can potentially turn a repair into a much bigger engine job.

Some signs that can point towards a timing-related issue include:

⚠️ Unusual rattling or mechanical noises
⚠️ Difficult or extended starting
⚠️ Rough running
⚠️ Loss of performance
⚠️ Engine warning lights or timing-related fault codes
⚠️ Abnormal engine behaviour

The important part is not guessing at the cause.

This Amarok is being investigated properly so we can establish exactly what has gone wrong before determining what needs to be repaired or replaced.
