This BMW X3 M40i came to us for a complete transformation.

Although the vehicle was relatively new, the paintwork had already suffered from incorrect vinyl removal, leaving behind marring and adhesive residue. To make matters worse, a dealership “polish” had left the entire vehicle covered in rotary holograms, robbing the paint of the gloss and clarity it should have had.

Before protecting the vehicle, we needed to correct the damage that had already been done.

3 Things Most People Don’t Know About Ceramic Coatings 🛡️

1️⃣ The prep work is more important than the coating itself.

A ceramic coating will protect whatever is underneath it. If the paint is covered in swirls, scratches, or contamination when the coating is applied, that’s exactly what gets locked in and protected.

The coating doesn’t fix the paint. The correction work does.

That’s why we spend so much time on decontamination and paint correction before applying any coating. The final result is only as good as the surface underneath it.

This E93 M3 had recently been purchased by our client and, while the car had plenty of potential, years of sitting and improper wash techniques had taken their toll on the finish.

The paint was heavily swirled, dull in appearance, and covered in water spotting and etching. Even the glass had suffered from years of neglect.

After assessing the vehicle, we recommended our Two-Stage Paint Correction, Glass Polishing, and Interior Detail Package to properly restore the car’s appearance.
