Seller wins for King Price Extreme BikeFin Yamaha at Extreme season finale
After securing second place in the 2018 national championship three weeks ago, Clint Seller changed his focus and tackled the penultimate round of the Bridgestone ThunderBike championship at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday, 20 October.
Qualifying: After setting the quickest lap time in all of Friday’s practice sessions, Seller was confident that he would be in the mix in the qualifying session on Saturday morning and so it proved. He claimed pole position from Nicholas Grobler with Lance Isaacs joining them on the front row of the grid.
Race 1: In the opening race Seller was soon into the groove, pulling away from the chasing pack by over half-a-second per lap, going on to take a comfortable win by just over six seconds. Behind him Isaacs got the better of Grobler to take second.
Race 2: Race two was similar to the first in that Seller opened up a gap at the front while Isaacs and Grobler fought it out for the minor placings. Seller again took a comfortable win with Isaacs again just beating Grobler to the flag to take second.
Speaking after the final race Seller, who became a father a week ago, said, “It was great to win my first race as a Dad, I’m sure there are lots more to come. I need to thank Anassis Racing for many years of success and King Price for making this year possible.”
