Good evening people.......I first would like to apologize to all of you for not keeping you guys updated on whats been going on at the shop and the track.......its been really busy and I am very grateful that we've been this busy. I do however have some updates and news of what went down at Killarney.......just bear in mind I do not own the rights to any of the pictures I've just posted but its too good not to use them, so I thank the photographers.
Let's get down to some business.......a year ago I tuned up this beautiful little champ bakkie sporting a vq35 with throttle hoping it would finally make its return to the track, but after the burn out, it immediately broke the side shaft, so unfortunately it had a early retirement in the day.
Next was CJ in his ballade, unfortunately also running into some issues, on the 1st run it broke down on the strip, he then got it sorted and prepped for the 2nd run, but then the clutch gave up on him, also forcing him to retire the car. Better luck next time bud.
We then got hold of the red civic from Junaid aka team JAS.......after back luck before on the dyno, he decided its time to come back to the dyno, all he wanted was a new PB and thats exactly what we gave him, he ran a healthy 12.6 over the 1/4 mile........congratulations buddy.
Next was Dean with the avantec.......we spoke a few months ago and I told him then, bring the car to me. About 3weeks ago he rings me up and says its time.......i then got them to remove the power mods and fit a spitronics mercury system.......after the dyno tune, I told him to say goodbye to the 13s and welcome the 12s, he didn't believe me until Saturday.......not only did they smash their PB by nearly a second, they ran a stunning 12.5 on the day and yet there's more to come from this little car.......well done Dean and team......your hard work paid off.
And lastly, my good old friend Igshaan David's.........we've now been smashing records over and over again, Saturday we just proved again we a force to be reckoned with on a budget build.......stock block, regrind cams, valve train and stock head, we are now the regrind kings of the Kseries in SA bud.......you drove that car like a champ on Saturday.......previous PB was 11.3, that day you showed everyone what you can do with robbels.......running a astonishing 10.85 over the 1/4 mile, i salute you my man........you officially my 1st car in the 10s......well done and congratulations once again, you deserve every bit of it. We do have a big class on our hands but im sure its nothing we can't over come.
Congratulations again to all my customers who participated and to all the drivers of the day as well.......and thank you to my followers for your continuous support.....we couldn't have done it without you.
