Lately we have been putting time into studying the Honda IMA (hybrid battery) system , what it all does, and how it communicates with the rest of the vehicle.
As it stands , most of these cars are well over 10 years old now and some even as old as 16years of age. What we can say, is that these hybrid Hondas really stood the test of time!!
On the older models they used Nickel-Metal Hydride battery cells of 100v ( 2010-2012) and the later Honda upgraded to the later Lithium battery cells/packs of 144v .
We have as of late, been studying the lifespan and performance of these battery packs , and found out a way to actually get them nearly as good as new when they rolled off Honda's showroom floor!!
It's called battery cell rejuvenation ...and we have since completed two complete recharges for two fellow owners , needless to say both have given very positive feedback, no more IMA Hybrid battery warning lights, and also feeling all the power restored back in their vehicles!!
We are still studying rejuvenating the later Lithium battery packs, they are however much longer lasting than the older versions before it looses much of its usable power!!
In pics, we also did a complete hybrid battery swap on another vehicle as it had come can-bus F-can issues. All resolved.
Another clients battery (usable) capacity was laying on 15% !! After our rejuvenation, we got it back up to 100!!
