A massive congratulations to Philip Botha and navigator Andries ‘Stompie’ Mynhardt, winners of the prestigious Road to Dakar Challenge at the VAPS HCV Vryheid 400!

What makes this victory even more special is the journey behind it.

Just a few years ago, Philip entered the world of rally-raid with no racing experience. Through determination, consistency and the support of Red-Lined Motorsport, he has worked his way up through the ranks to compete at the sharp end of the T1+ class.

Now, that journey has earned the crew a FREE ENTRY TO THE 2028 DAKAR RALLY, valued at approximately R600 000!

Après la décision de ne pas organiser le Dakar 2027 en Arabie saoudite, le Maroc apparaît comme l’un des principaux candidats pour accueillir cet événement mondial. Une option qui pourrait constituer une véritable bouée de sauvetage pour le célèbre rallye-raid et lui éviter une annulation.

Grâce à la richesse et à la diversité de ses paysages naturels, de ses vastes espaces désertiques à ses reliefs montagneux, ainsi qu’à ses moyens logistiques et à son savoir-faire dans l’organisation de grands événements sportifs internationaux, le Maroc possède tous les atouts pour accueillir le Dakar 2027 et assurer le succès de cette édition.

📢 Une annonce officielle est attendue prochainement, mais aucune confirmation définitive n’a encore été publiée concernant l’organisation du rallye dans le Royaume.
