If you open the engine room of any Phoenix Marine-built vessel, you’ll find the same thing - immaculate installation, thoughtful layouts, clearly routed systems and exceptional attention to detail.

Captured during a recent sea trial aboard the newly launched X5E Plus, Sheldon Soeker from our mechanical systems team gives a well-earned thumbs up as final commissioning checks were completed. From propulsion and mechanical systems to the integrated Integrel hybrid technology, every component is thoroughly tested and verified before a vessel leaves our care.

Great engineering is not only about the systems themselves - it’s about how they are installed, accessed, maintained and supported throughout the life of the yacht.

Captured here during the infusion process for deck panels on the Xquisite 60 Solar Sail, Dylan forms part of a highly experienced composites division and has deep expertise across both the aerospace and boatbuilding industries.

Vacuum infusion is a critical part of modern composite manufacturing - allowing for stronger, lighter and more consistent structures while reducing unnecessary resin weight and improving overall quality.

Commissioning is where every system is tested, checked and fine-tuned before a yacht begins her journey.

Our commissioning team is currently hard at work on the newly launched Xquisite X5E Plus - Hull 33, proudly built by Phoenix Marine for Xquisite Yachts . From electrical systems and engines to rigging, custom interior finishing, navigation and onboard technology, every detail is carefully inspected and verified to ensure she leaves our yard performing exactly as intended.

Commissioning is one of the most important stages in the build process - and a reflection of Phoenix Marine Manufacturing’s commitment to quality and reliability pre-delivery to our client.

We look forward to seeing her out on sea trials soon, before she begins her first Atlantic crossing.

Commissioning in progress on the newly launched Xquisite X5E Plus - Hull 33, against the backdrop of a spectacular Cape Town day this past Friday.

Our commissioning team working alongside our valued partners at Sparcraft Masts and North Sails Cape Town - tuning the rig and fitting the headsail as we continue preparing her for sea trials and delivery.
