This Women’s Month, we celebrated the remarkable women of UD Trucks Southern Africa under the theme “Blooming into Purpose.”

Colleagues nominated women who have made a meaningful difference in their lives — recognising and celebrating the impact they make every day.

Jo-Marie Momberg shared insights on navigating the different seasons of life, while Fiona Ntebeni reminded us that every experience, big or small, shapes the women we become.

We ended the celebration with a fun and creative cake-decorating session.

This Women’s Month, we celebrate women taking the wheel and going the extra mile.
Meet Onalenna Sebuseng, a professional driver who recently completed driver training with UD Trucks Driver Trainer, Tumi Segage.
Onalenna, who drives for Gamagara Municipality, took part in training focused on getting the most from the UD Quester. The programme gave her a deeper understanding of the truck, including features and driving techniques that she had not previously used, helping her build greater confidence and make every journey more comfortable and efficient.
Her story is a reminder of the opportunities that open up when women are supported to develop their skills and grow within the commercial transport industry.
Here’s to Onalenna—and to all the women confidently taking the wheel and driving their journeys forward.

Yesterday, 13 August, Zwartkops Raceway hosted the 2026 UD Trucks Extra Mile Challenge Local Competition, celebrating the skill, professionalism and dedication of the unsung heroes who keep our economy moving.
Through challenges in vehicle inspection, safe and fuel-efficient driving, vehicle handling and manoeuvring, the competition promotes the correct driving skills and safer, smarter driving.
