Awesome Saturday with Subie Adventure Club. Drove up to Lookout Mountain on the Washington side and could see 5 major mountain tops. Great to see lifted Subies and even a stock Outback. The capabilities of these vehicles never cease to amaze me!

Interesting weekend at the Super Regional Oregon Trail Rally.

Saturday was nice, just windy and chilly. Couple offs on stage anc calls to Service, but the teams were already on the move; we still checked their paddocks just in case.

Sunday... was parked in a spot that radio checked on my car (comet sbb5) and mast (comet GP-3 on 12ft painters pole) just fine early on, but then completely died on both midday. Ended up connecting my little 5W Baofeng to my mast (yes, really) and using a second HT on simplex to talk to Race Ops if I needed too (Thanks Devin H.!)
But that's just part of the messy comms day... my mount that I printed broke, so the faceplate to my TH-9800 was just sitting on my passenger seat. Kind of annoying, luckily I didn't need it once we were using the HTs. I spent most of Monday relaxing, cleaning up and redesigning the mount. I still have a couple tweaks to make, but this is the gist of the design, and temporary too.

I printed it in PETG because of UV/Sunlight.

Got to the service area in Goldendale for Oregon Trail Rally about 6pm. I was all set up and in bed by 930pm and watched Hot Fuzz before sleeping. Now, I'm staying out if the wind and listening to the radio. I just overheard someone checking out my car and trailer, "Yo check out this setup! Those Sparcos are Siick!".
