Just a heads up.
If you would like to book in with us please contact us with plenty of time. If you would like an MOT and service booked in on the same day we are now booking in from 2nd December onwards, however we do have spaces for MOTs only prior to the 2nd December.

We have taken the decision to open by appointment only for emergency repairs until further notice to enable us to keep ourselves and yourselves safe.

Steve will be able to come in for emergency repairs only as long as he is fit and healthy and that parts are available for the specific repair.

We will be back fully operational as soon as it is safe to do so.

Our team at Hillcrest have been thoroughly looking through the ever changing government guidelines and advice and deciding on the best way forward.

The government have now stated that if your MOT is due after 1st April you do not need an MOT for 6 months. However you must keep your car in a roadworthy condition. Please see the government website for details.

We are offering a FREE safety check for all our NHS staff who’s MOT is due between now and October 2020 to make sure you are able to travel to work and more importantly stay safe on the roads. You may be asked to see your NHS ID.

As in our previous post we are still maintaining the government guidelines so please only 1 customer in reception at any time and please keep 2 metres away from any other person. We are wiping down the card machine after each use, wiping counters and keys, wearing and changing our gloves regularly.

We are still taking things day by day.

We are open.

Under government guidelines we have been advised we can still open as long as we can adhere to the public health advice.

The government have advised that cars still need an MOT. This is under constant review and we are checking on this constantly.

Please be assured we are doing everything we can to keep ourselves and yourselves safe by wiping down all contact points after use, card machines, door handles, counters, car keys, regularly changing our gloves, hand washing etc.

We do ask that only 1 person at a time to enter our reception area and please keep 2 metres away from any other person.

Further along the line if we are asked to close, if your car breaks down or is in need of essential work and you are NHS staff or a key worker we will post a number for you to ring and we will do our upmost to help.

Hillcrest Garage is a professional, family run, independent garage. We have the equipment, expertise and the experience to ensure your vehicle is maintained to the highest standards.

We pride ourselves on being your local, friendly garage and are proud members of the RMI (Retail Motor Industry), Trust my Garage and are happy to be selected to have Car Repair Plan. We regularly attend diagnostic training which provides us with a wider knowledge of common faults which may occur with your car. We are always up to date with our DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency) training and are quick off the mark to implement any changes that they roll out.

If your struggling without your car during normal working hours, speak to Steve and we may be able to work around hours that suit you. We have very competitive prices and a free local collection and delivery service.
