We hear it all the time:👉 “I don’t want powder coat – it’s thick, plasticky and it chips off.”

Truth is, that reputation comes from bad prep and bad application. Two things we don’t believe in.

Here’s how we do it differently 👇

🔧 Every frame/part is fully stripped and blasted.
🎯 We carefully mask and b**g every bolt hole, bearing slot and machined surface – no need to re tap threads or risk damaging fresh coating.
🎨 Powder is applied like paint: a smooth, even coat that’s never too thick.

The result?
A finish that looks and feels OEM factory-fresh, not cheap or plasticky. Durable, clean, and built to last.

That’s why so many riders who were wary of powder coating end up trusting us with their frames / parts – and never look back. 💪

🔬 In the Lab (well… workshop!)

One of the biggest headaches in the classic and vintage motocross world: plastic fuel tanks that go yellow or discoloured over time. No matter what’s been tried - vinyl, paint, dyes it all eventually fails because dirt bike tanks constantly “breathe” fuel vapors through the plastic resulting in bubbles, peeling, fading, and further discolouration.

We’re now testing something new 👉 a new series from Cerakote on plastic fuel tanks.

The idea? A durable coating that can stand up to fuel vapors and keep tanks looking fresh indefinitely! If this test proves successful, it could be a game-changer and something we’ll be rolling out to customers in the future.

This is an early days test, but the results could solve a massive issue for vintage & classic MX bikes. Stay tuned—we’ll keep you updated on how the testing goes.
