In Memory of Graham Greene (1952โ€“2025)
Graham Greene was more than an actor.
He was a storyteller, a cultural bridge, and a quiet guardian of Native American identity.
Through his roles, he gave Indigenous characters something Hollywood had long denied them โ€” depth, dignity, and humanity.
He refused stereotypes. He chose truth.
Whether portraying elders, warriors, fathers, or healers, Graham Greene carried Native presence with respect โ€” reminding the world that Indigenous people are not relics of the past, but living cultures with voices, values, and wisdom.
Beyond the screen, he represented pride without anger, strength without noise, and resistance through integrity.
For many Native youth, seeing him meant seeing themselves โ€” not as myths, but as real, resilient people.
His legacy is not only in films and awards.
It lives in every story told honestly,
every culture represented with care,
and every future generation that knows their identity matters.
Thank you, Graham Greene,
for honoring the ancestors,
for protecting the stories,
and for reminding the world that Native voices belong โ€” yesterday, today, and always.

February 1909. A photographer captures an aging Geronimo, seated beside an American flag. His eyes are tired. His expression, unreadable.
It would be the last photo ever taken of him.
Soon after, tragedy struck. On his way home, Geronimo was thrown from his horse. He spent the night alone in the freezing cold. A friend found him the next morning, but it was too late. He had developed pneumonia.
Geronimo, once the most feared Apache leader of the American Southwest, died on February 17, 1909, at the age of 79 โ€” still held as a prisoner of war at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
His final words, according to his nephew, were haunting:
โ€œI should never have surrendered. I should have fought until I was the last man alive.โ€
Geronimo had spent much of his life resisting U.S. and Mexican forces, leading raids, evading capture, and becoming a symbol of Native defiance. After finally surrendering in 1886, he lived the rest of his life under military custody โ€” paraded in public, photographed like a curiosity, but never truly free.
He was buried at the Apache Indian Prisoner of War Cemetery, thousands of miles from his homeland.
To this day, Geronimo is remembered not just as a warrior โ€” but as a symbol of unbroken resistance, forced exile, and the enduring spirit of his people..

In a world that often prioritizes power and success, this powerful quote reminds us of what the planet truly needs: peacemakers, healers, and lovers of all kinds. The Earth doesnโ€™t need more people climbing to the topโ€”it needs people who are willing to serve, heal, and nurture it back to balance.

This image, combining the wisdom of an indigenous man and a bear, evokes a sense of unity and reverence for the natural world. It is a call for a new generation of leaders who understand the importance of compassion, empathy, and stewardship over domination and control. The planetโ€™s greatest strength lies not in the successful, but in those who work to restore peace and harmony with all living beings.

In our interconnected world, this message challenges us to reflect on how we can contribute positively to the planet. Itโ€™s a call for action, urging us to prioritize restoration, healing, and love in every aspect of life.

This refers to a significant moment in recent Native American and U.S. social history. In 2012, the small town of Leith, North Dakota, became the focus of national attention when a white supremacist attempted to turn it into a haven for neo-N**is. This sparked protests and resistance from local residents, Native American tribes, and anti-racist groups.
Lakota and Dakota grandmothers, representing Indigenous strength and resilience, stood up against the display of a N**i flag in their homeland. By capturing and burning the flag, they symbolically rejected the presence of hate and fascism on American soil. Their act was not just a protest, but also a declaration that Indigenous peopleโ€”whose ancestors had endured colonization, violence, and cultural erasureโ€”would not tolerate racism or oppression in any form.
This moment highlights how Native American communities continue to play a powerful role in the ongoing struggle for justice and equality. It also reframes the definition of patriotism: being a โ€œreal Americanโ€ means standing against hatred and protecting the values of respect, dignity, and freedom for all.

Hair is not just hair. For many Indigenous youth, it carries memory, identity, prayer, and belonging. Growing it is a personal and spiritual act tied to ancestry and love.

This message asks for respect, not permission. It calls on others to listen, to step back from judgment, and to honor traditions that have survived despite generations of pressure to erase them.

Protection begins with understanding. Respect begins with allowing people to remain whole as they are โœŠ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿชถ

Incredible shot of bison in Yellowstone National Park. ๐Ÿฆฌโ„๏ธ
In the heart of Yellowstone, at -34ยฐF, a bison stands resilientโ€”covered in snow and frost, facing straight into the storm. Bison instinctively know that the fastest way through the storm is to face it head-on.
Bison are the only animal that turn into a snowstorm rather than away from it; because they instinctively know that walking into the storm will get them out of the storm quicker. There may be a life lesson for all of us humans. This courage not only exemplifies resilience and a smart way to power through lifeโ€™s problems; but also creates a backdrop for truly majestic photos!
