Boy it’s been a minute hasn’t it,,, still at it but like I wasn’t busy enough I go and open a second business. Anyways I’m still here, still doing my thing. Just finished up changing the rear facade on this Newell. The chrome on the taillight bezel was starting to show some age. We stripped it and body worked it and painted it to match the paint work. Also did the license plate pocket to match. Also decided to freshen up the exhaust tips while I was touching everything else back there.
Anyways, hope all is well.

Ok got a chance to work on the air compressor bay. Found the floor in real poor condition upon removal of old units. Scraped, cleaned, cut/fit, new steel floor. Sealed all edges and secured with water proof pop rivits to remaining section of old floor. Fresh paint, it will set for the weekend and the new air compressor module will go in on Monday.

Customer would like us to recondition his air compressors and compartment... more to come.

So the lighting install is finished. All Hella marine grade lighting was used. 3 bright white spot beam units with polished stainless trim rings down the center of the interior and a black Hella bright white spread beam Patio light used at the rear to illuminate the space behind the trailer. Came out real nice.
Next will be a solar charger to be able to charge and maintain the battery.

First off I want to say that I’m not really asking for donations. I added the donation tab in case any of you would like to make a contribution to Garage of Hope. Facebook took it upon them selves to make that front and center.

Danielle, the owner of the trailer does a really cool thing. She runs a nonprofit called Garage Of Hope.

Garage of Hope is a garage full of all sorts of clothing, toys, baby items and other household goods for Foster families to use when children enter their home. The organization, based in Wesley Chapel, FL, runs completely on donations of goods and financial gifts.
As foster parents, Cindy and myself were at a training session one night a few weeks ago and Danielle was there. Her trailer was there also. She fills her trailer and comes out to these trainings and other events. Well at night time it is hard for anyone to really see what all she has on her racks and shelving units. Everyone that was there that night was looking through all the goods with their flashlights. I made the offer to outfit the trailer with an auxiliary battery and lighting to illuminate her “work space”. Should make things a lot nicer for her.

Coach came in with customer complaint of a spongy feeling in the floor. Upon inspection we found water damage at the entryway into the bedroom. Follow the pictures through the repair of the floor. Under the carpet was pad, old linoleum, the top layer of finish plywood as then the structural cdx. The damaged cdx was removed from the structure and everything on top is being rebuilt/replaced.

If your air ride is not holding air, one of your 6 pack valves or the manifold itself might be at fault. We can refurbish the system to like new. I rebuild the valves here and can resurface the manifold if needed. Here are a few pics. These valves had the brass base and had heavy surface corrosion. They were cleaned, primed and recoated. The stems were polished with new springs and plungers installed. New orings at the stem and at the bottom of the base were it seats on the manifold. I’ll update more pics of the assembled valves and the manifold reassembled soon.
