Have a restful weekend!

This has not been our week when it comes to technology. Between internet issues, software problems, and systems deciding they no longer want to cooperate, we’ve spent more time troubleshooting than we would like.

We’ve gotten things mostly sorted out, but we are now playing catch-up behind the scenes. We are working through calls, emails, texts, orders, and accounting items as quickly as possible.

Thanks for the patience, support, and understanding while we get everything back on track.

Running an overstock sale on mainly Z50 products but there are some other products in there for the CT70! Check it out!

We wanted to share a quick update—

We’re currently operating on limited hours due to a recent medical situation. I’m on the mend, but not quite back to full strength yet, so things may be moving a little slower than usual.

Orders are still being processed and shipped, though there may be slight delays. We’ve brought in some extra help to keep things moving.

Email, phone calls, and texts are being monitored, but responses may be a bit slower and more sporadic than usual.

If you’re planning to stop by, please reach out ahead of time, as we may not be available during our normal posted hours.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

When we install an aftermarket engine into a CT70 frame, we’re usually so focused on the electrical conversions and other modifications needed to get the engine running that mentioning the stock chain guard has become an afterthought. It’s one of those small details we handle so often that we sometimes forget to point it out.
All the engines we carry can be modified safely without damaging the engine. If you purchased an engine elsewhere, there’s no guarantee it will handle the same adjustment.
The process is straightforward: carefully Dremel the casing to make the chain guard fit, measuring as you go. The goal is to make the modification subtle, so it doesn’t look like it was done at all. Depending on your engine and chain guard, you may also need a longer bolt for the lower mounting position.
Check out the two pictures showing the lower mount we’re referencing, including a close-up of our modification on the 125cc H build. If you’ve been following the YouTube build series, Mark walks through this modification toward the end of the series:

Marty’s bike is coming together.

Here’s a look at the progress so far—everything assembled, all systems coming together. From the freshly finished aluminum parts to the repaired lower fork covers, the bike is shaping up nicely.

The engine is running, and we’ll be posting a short video of it in action in the next update. Keep an eye out—you won’t want to miss it.

Project Update: Marty’s bike hit a stall.

The delay came from the lower front fork covers. Years of accumulated grime had eaten through the chrome finish, down to bare steel in spots we couldn’t hide. We scoured the internet for NOS or reproduction parts and even explored an option from a company in Europe—but nothing worked.

In the end, we powder-coated the covers with a chrome-like finish. It doesn’t have the original shiny patina, but it looks great and, more importantly, allows the bike to function. Marty didn’t need it perfectly stock, so this solution got the project back on track.

Stay tuned for the next update—lots more progress to show, including a video of the engine running.

New Product Highlight

We’re excited to finally offer a quality 1972 CT70 taillight bracket and taillight unit. While these are sold individually, they are commonly replaced together when refreshing the rear lighting setup.

This setup has taken time to get right. We worked through fitment, alignment, and overall quality to ensure the parts install properly and look correct on the bike. After reviewing samples and making improvements, we’re confident in this final version.

If you’re replacing your taillight components, don’t overlook the ground connection. The taillight ground strap is a critical piece and is often worn out or missing—we now offer a newly manufactured replacement to complete the setup properly.

Available now on our website.

Attention international customers:
Our shipping calculator only works with U.S. ZIP codes, so international orders cannot generate a quote before checkout. To get a shipping estimate, you’ll need to start the checkout process and enter your address.
A quick note about the calculator: it rounds each item to the next pound. For example, three items weighing 15 oz each will calculate as 3 pounds. This ensures shipping charges cover the actual requirements.
If the shipping cost charged ends up being higher than the actual cost, we will refund the difference.
For a precise quote, please contact us at [email protected] with your items and shipping address. We’ll provide a custom estimate and help you complete your order.

Getting back to Marty’s bike—all of the aluminum parts got a turn in our v***r hone machine. The most noticeable transformation was on the lower front forks. Man, did they turn out great! Check them out in the side-by-side picture below—but just wait until you see them on the completed bike!
