I had just purchased a brand new 1977 Ford F-250 4X4 to pull my backhoe trailer. He saw my new truck and said I have just what you need to protect your new truck. He opened his car trunk and showed me a case of AMSOIL AM
O 10W40 synthetic motor oil. This was the first API rated synthetic motor oil to be produced and sold by AMSOIL Inc. I installed the motor oil and gear l**e in my truck and was amazed at how easy it started in the cold N.D. winter and from that time forward I was sold on the products. I continued to use more of the products. In my Massey loader/backhoe and other equipment I owned and operated. But the one that really showed me how good the products are was the use of the AMSOIL synthetic Saber 100:1 2 cycle oil. At that time the 2 cycle oils used in snowmobiles were petroleum based and the ratio was 20:1.... those oils fouled plugs, left a lot of deposits on the plugs and carbon on the piston and rings and smoked badly. Now back then 20:1 was the normal mix ratio now I have the AMSOIL synthetic Saber 2 cycle oil and it is supposed to be mixed at 100:1...wow that is lean..so I mixed it up and ran it in my new 1977 Polaris TX250. After the first tank of gas and the sled did not blow up I was sold..this oil was great... No more smoking, it started easier and the plugs burned a nice brown color...fantastic. That winter I started racing on oval ice tracks and for the next 4 winters my best friend and I raced all over N.D., Minn, and Manitoba. Ed raced a TJ440 and used AMSOIL Saber at 100:1 in his sled also. We never had any engine problems and at the end of each season I would tear down the engines and I was amazed at how good they looked inside. After my first year of using AMSOIL products I signed up as a dealer and paid the $100.00 fee for a lifetime dealership...I started to sell AMSOIL products to the farmers in my local area. This was when oil for the diesel tractors was 3o weight oil and it had to be changed every 100 hours. My friend had several tractors, trucks and other equipment on his farm and I got him switched to AMSOIL in all of it. Using our bypass oil filter and oil analysis we ran the AMSOIL 30 weight synthetic oil in his John Deere 843o 4X4 tractor for over 800 hours before it was changed. I moved away for the cold and became an A&P mechanic and for the next 18 years worked on heavy jets, which by the way all use synthetic oil in the engine the hydraulic systems and use synthetic grease. I spent over 13 years attending events, mostly motocross races introducing and selling AMSOIL products to racer and fans. I have attended many AMSOIL sponsored events with my AMSOIL booth and at times have helped AMSOIL corp employees with booths at events. This is what I enjoy most talking to people about our products and explaining to them the product benefits and features and how AMSOIL products can help them to save money and have the peace of mind from the extra protection our products provide.
