Some cool school news: Cornerstone Classical Academy just broke ground on a new campus in the Garden District and will open for grades VPK–7 in August 2027 (expanding to 12th grade in the future). It will be our first school in the Garden District and the first charter school in Nassau County. Students will benefit from a rigorous curriculum and vibrant student life, thanks to a classical education that builds character and fosters lifelong learners. Enrollment for the 2027-28 school year begins in December 2026, so if you’re interested, mark your calendars.

One of the first things you see when you enter the Garden District is our refurbished fire tower — a 90-foot historic landmark that was reinstalled earlier this summer. The tower was actually used to scan the thousands of acres of timberland for wisps of smoke, before they grew into major wildfires. Today, it’s an homage to the people and structure who protected the natural landscape we now get to call home.
