Well, today's update will not be as involved as yesterday's. Do to extenuating circumstances on the pickup that we were trying to finish. However, the Subaru is done and runs excellent. We found a blown fuse for the low speed cooling fans, which most likely contributed to the blown head gaskets that the car suffered to begin with. We got the Turbo Honda in and worked on that as well.
So the chevy colorado runs great after I found the rag that someone left in cylinder number four intake port. Not sure if it was in the manifold. Or deep in the head, but after starting it, the truck ran and had no compression on number four. Used a bore camera and discovered some odd looking material in the cylinder....... Use the little grabber tool and ripped the piece out and determined it was a rag that a previous person left inside there Was very fortunate in that I was able to take the intake back off, remove the rag, blow the cylinders out, reassembled and then the truck ran perfect. No misfires. Customers should be happy we always try to do only what we need to do. But in this situation there was a little bit extra.
Tomorrow will be a fun day as I pull the dash on the EV Samurai..... No doubt if uncle Rix Parling reads that he's going to have a heart attack.
Anyways, hope everyone had a great day and as always if there is anything we can do to help you with your cars. Just give us a call!!!!
Now it's off to twenty nine palms to meet a customer at Stater Brothers to perform a vehicle inspection for her to make sure she is buying a good car that is not full of problems.
