This is a really, really great Split Window that can be had for half the price of a restored one, and in my opinion is much more interesting. I know the car personally, and have even done some work on it. Looking through the pictures, I can’t help but think that they don’t do the car justice. You really don’t notice the minor surface rust or stained door panels in person like you do in the photos. In the car’s presence, all you think is, “this car is AWESOME.” And it runs and drives much better than you’d think by looking at it. It’s fully sorted and operates better than new, in fact. Spread the word!

Six screen-used, original Disney vehicles from the Herbie the Love Bug franchise will be available next month at Mecum! I can't tell you how many people come to me asking if I know of any original Herbies for sale. They usually aren't available or are out of most people's price ranges. There's no excuses, now. Plenty to choose from, and a few of them are estimated at as low as $20,000. These are no reserve auctions, to boot. They could go for anything. Spread the word and make sure that some true Herbie fan out there can obtain their dream car! Remember, you don't have to be there in person to bid. Good luck!

I thought I've seen all the horrors an old gas tank can offer, but we've got a new contender. I don't think the pictures do it justice, but it's the worst I've ever seen, by a large margin. And I've seen bad.

The '72 Super Beetle freshly painted and well on its way to looking and driving its best again. This is essentially a "driver" quality restoration, but in spite of the minimalist approach it's looking like a million bucks so far!

It grieves me to report that Dean Jones has passed away. Most of you will remember him as Jim Douglas from The Love Bug. He was a great actor, but many may not realize that he was a truly inspirational figure off the camera as well. We will always miss him.
