Good morning,
Steve and I would like to introduce ourselves as the new proprietors of RX Racing Xtravaganza. We are honored and excited to continue the legacy that Scott and April have built over the years.
We would also like to sincerely thank Scott Gobrecht and April Clark for building and promoting a strong foundation for the Mid-Atlantic’s premier winter motorsports trade show, Racing Xtravaganza, over the past 10+ years. We look forward to continuing that legacy while growing and expanding the RX experience for 2027 and beyond.
We look forward to working with exhibitors, vendors, sponsors, and most importantly, the fans who make racing so special. Our goal is to uphold the traditions of RX while also enhancing the overall experience. We are committed to growing the event throughout the Mid-Atlantic by collaborating with tracks, drivers, vendors, and sponsors.
Racing is a passion that deserves to be supported and promoted. It truly takes a village to get a race car on the track—from owners, sponsors, builders, wrap designers, tracks, safety crews, pit crews, and dedicated fans.

Hobsons Acquire Racing Xtravaganza:
New Era Begins for Mid-Atlantic’s Premier Winter Motorsports Trade Show

York, PA – April 8, 2026 – Steve and Marti Hobson, owners of PA Micro Midgets, have officially acquired Racing Xtravaganza from longtime promoters Scott Gobrecht and April Clark.

Racing Xtravaganza is recognized as the Mid-Atlantic’s premier winter motorsports trade show, bringing together racetracks, competitors, fans, sponsors, and industry partners each offseason at the York Expo Center. Built around the mission of MEET • COMPETE • EVOLVE, RX serves as a central gathering point for the racing community prior to the start of the outdoor season.

The Hobsons are widely respected within the motorsports community for their commitment to grassroots racing and their support of competitors at every level. Through their leadership of PA Micro Midgets, they have played an active role in developing young talent while maintaining a strong connection to the broader racing ladder.

Racing Xtravaganza has long stood as a key winter showcase for the motorsports industry, uniting race teams, tracks, sanctioning bodies, manufacturers, vendors, and fans from across Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region. The show highlights the full scope of racing – from go-karts, micro midgets, and entry-level divisions to sprint cars, late models, drag racing, and beyond – while celebrating Central Pennsylvania’s deep heritage as a nationally recognized hub for dirt track, drag racing, and youth motorsports.

“We are honored to take the reins of Racing Xtravaganza,” said Steve and Marti Hobson. “This event has always represented the entire racing community. Our goal is to build on that foundation while introducing new ideas to enhance the experience for racers, teams, and fans.”

Outgoing promoters Scott Gobrecht and April Clark, who guided the growth of the event over many years, expressed their full endorsement and complete confidence in the transition.

“Steve and Marti bring passion, experience, and a true commitment to the sport,” said Gobrecht and Clark. “We are confident they will continue the legacy of Racing Xtravaganza while moving it forward in a positive direction.”

The 2027 Racing Xtravaganza Show is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, January 29–30, 2027 at the York Expo Center.
Additional details, including featured displays, participating series, vendors, fan attractions, and special events, will be announced in the coming months.
