I haven’t touched the truck in 4 years. I got discouraged with it but hope to get back on it this fall.

I hope this will fix my header fitment problem. The original mount stopped at the black line. A good friend and excellent welder Mike Taylor added the piece above the line and added the new hole 3/4" higher so it will lower the engine 3/4" and the header tubes should clear the frame. I have to trim off the end marked red to clear the frame and they will be ready to try.

Started filling holes to smooth the firewall.

My notch in the front crossmember to make extra clearance for the oil pan.

Spent about an hour and a half in the garage tonight. Marked the inner fenders where I'm going to trim them and marked holes in the firewall to weld shut. Removed front suspension. Tomorrow night will be motor mounts and plates, steering box and master cylinder. Then it's clean the frame to paint and start welding holes.
