Don's RV Repair now provides professional holding tank cleaning services. In the past we have informed customers this type of service was not needed if tanks were flushed regularly. After seeing a couple demonstrations we realized it is a much needed service. We couldn't believe how much stuff came out of tanks that were thought to be clean, including mold. A lot of tank sensors do not work. Most sensors start working, and smells go away, after a hydro jet cleaning. Hydro jet cleaning also works well cleaning water heaters

Single tank cleaning is $200. Each additional tank $100. "Pyramids" and other clogs will also be charged hourly rate.

Also available upon request - we will open your camper for the season by flushing the water heater and all water lines, open all slides (if requested), and check that all of the appliances operate

Hot weather will be here soon. An air conditioner not working properly can ruin a weekend camping trip. It also isn’t easy to find a technician to perform same day repairs in hot weather. For peace of mind you should have your air conditioner cleaned and serviced before the weather gets hot.

Don’t forget to make sure your water heater is full of water before turning on the water heater electric or LP gas heaters. One way to make sure it is full is to open the pressure relief valve. If any water comes out it is full.

It is that time of year to get your camper ready for some fun and relaxation. If antifreeze was used to winterize your camper then there is a few easy steps to flush it out. First you want the water heater in bypass. If Don’s RV winterized your camper then it should already be in bypass. After hooking up a fresh water supply you will open the low water point drains for about 30 seconds after the pink color is gone. After closing the drains each faucet and toilet should be opened,one at a time, also for about 30 seconds after pink is gone. After all water lines have been flushed it is time to take the water heater out of bypass. Not all bypass systems are the same so if you have any issues with it you can call Don’s RV Repair and we may be able to walk you through it. After the water heater is out of bypass it should fill with water. Make sure it is full before turning on any water heater heat source. Please call Don’s RV if you have any questions. Happy Camping

RV propane systems should be tested at least once per year to ensure there is no leaks and all appliances are receiving the proper pressure. If there is a dangerous leak a correctly operating system will shut off the propane. Have peace of mind by knowing your propane system is operating correctly by having it tested by a certified RV Technician. I will perform a complete propane system test at a reasonable rate.

It is about time to flush out the RV anti-freeze. Remember to make sure your water heater is taken out of bypass and filled with water before turning on the heat source for the water heater.
