Simply an amazing weekend at Yacolt Valley Speedway. First and foremost, our track staff THANK YOU! None of this is a one man show. The days,hours and behind the scene effort for a 4-6 hour event that you put in is second to none in effort and passion for this sport.
Fans, thank you for packing our spectator area and supporting our track, cheering for these drivers and just making our entire event an amazing Independence Day weekend success 🏁
Driver, some of you made hours long drives to visit us, many for the first time. We greatly appreciate your passion and love for this thing we call dirt track racing🏁🏎️ and hope you will all come race with us again.
A special recognition goes to a few drivers specifically.
Our 40 lap Stock Predator Class
A-Main Feature Winner #713 Don Briggs brought home a hard fought win for some cool bragging rights as the 2026 Yacolt Valley Speedway Fire Cracker 100 Stock Predator Champion. Congratulations Don on the win and the cool $75 winnings. On a little side note, Dons also won the stock Predator trophy dash, with his Son Corey Briggs winning the Open Class trophy dash so they got to celebrate together in victory lane🏁🏆
In our Open Predator mains. We had a great kart count, so much so we rolled off a 7 kart 25 lap B-Main with the Top two advancing to the Open Class 40 lap A-Main Feature of the night. Yacolt Valley Speedways very own #01 Steve Andrus ( General-Steve) taking the win to transfer with Ricky Kidwell running a strong second for the 2nd transfer spot.
The Open A-Main Feature was spicy from the get go. Starting 12 drivers, all wanting to jump out early in the 40 lap contest. After three! Attempts at the initial green flag, the race was off and roaring. Multiple battles ensued during the course of this 40 lap battle. The # D01 Derek Schoessler eventually grabbed the lead after some paint trading laps with the #13, the #24
Anna Singleton and the #777 Madix Denton. Schoessler looked to be in command as the race wound down. With Singleton and Briggs on his bumper. Schoessler took the white flag and was set to grab his 2nd consecutive Open Fire Cracker 100 championship. However, we race to the checkered flag and as fait would have it, Singleton found herself in the right place at the right time. As the trio came out of turn 4, Schoessler suffered an impromptu mechanical failure and slowed just enough that Briggs and Singleton had to make split second choices to avoid Schoesslers machine. Singleton piloted her #24 machine to the right path overtaking both Schoessler and Briggs to grab her first Yacolt Valley Speedway Fire Cracker 100 Championship and a cool $100 cash. 💵
