May have found a hack for everyone.

I’ve struggled to find a tire shine that I like that’s also easy to apply, especially on off-road style tires. I came across an ad for The Rag Company’s spray applicator and thought I’d give it a try. Maybe I got a bad one, because everything else I’ve purchased from them has been great.

I used the mitt-on-a-stick for the first time today. Anyway, this wasn’t what I expected, and I could hardly get any product to flow out of it.

After my not-so-great experience with The Rag Company’s sprayer, it crossed my mind that an automotive touch-up spray gun would probably work a whole lot better. So I stopped by my local Harbor Freight and spent a whopping $15 on this little touch-up gun.

The precision, flow adjustment, and fan adjustment worked even better than I imagined. Plus, it used very little product. I sprayed 12 tires and only used about 2 ounces.

I used full-strength CarPro PERL, which has more shine than I prefer, so I’ll dilute it next time.

Not sure if anyone has tried this before, but I’ve never seen it done and thought I’d share.
