‼️ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

For more than 30 years, the Wylie Championship Rodeo has provided family-friendly entertainment and activities while showcasing high-quality rodeo competition in a safe environment for guests, sponsors, cowboys, and cowgirls.

For the past two decades, the Wylie Area Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Wylie ISD to host the rodeo at the F.O. Birmingham Agricultural Facility and Rodeo Arena. Earlier this year, the district began renovations to the facility to better serve its students. Over the past several months, the Chamber and the City of Wylie have worked together to identify an alternate location that could safely accommodate the rodeo and its related activities while remaining logistically and financially feasible.

Unfortunately, no existing location can provide the space and infrastructure necessary to host the event at the standard our community has come to expect. As a result, the 2026 Wylie Championship Rodeo will be canceled.

"Canceling our annual rodeo is an incredibly difficult decision," said Tina Stelnicki, CEO Wylie Area Chamber of Commerce. "Over the past several months, the Chamber and the City of Wylie explored multiple alternative locations, but none could provide the space, safety, and amenities needed to produce the quality event our community expects. We understand Wylie ISD's need to improve its facilities and look forward to returning to the newly renovated rodeo grounds in 2027."

We sincerely appreciate the continued support of our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, contestants, and the community. The Chamber will be contacting sponsors and vendors in the coming weeks to discuss opportunities for the 2027 Wylie Championship Rodeo, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.

Texas voters will head to the polls for the 2026 Runoff Elections, helping decide which candidates will move on to the General Election this November. Every vote plays an important role in shaping the future of our communities, state, and country.

The Wylie Area Chamber of Commerce was excited to celebrate Building Kidz of Wylie with a special ribbon cutting ceremony!

Building Kidz provides a unique early childhood education experience that combines strong academics with performing arts enrichment to help children grow in confidence, creativity, and character. Their programs focus on nurturing the whole child through hands-on learning, music, dance, theater, and age-appropriate curriculum in a safe and supportive environment.

We are thrilled to welcome Building Kidz of Wylie to the community and are excited to see the positive impact they will make for local children and families.
