Been getting my back side kicked for the last 4 hrs..

The red arrow is pointing to a hole. This hole has what is called a rivet nut to be installed.

Now i have just enough room above that hole to fit both of my hands in it..so a install tool is out of the question.

This RN ( rivet nut ) is for the lower control arm to mount to. The original anchors were destroyed when i was removing them. The new ones are a 11/16 by about 1 in long. They collaps or pinch from .200 to .325. And take a 1/2 st thread bolt... the one and only place i found them for this application was threw boltdepo.com and that is because it is a industrial size application with high torque...

Ford.. this was a horrible ideah to do this. A welded nut on the back would of been better

99 jeep gran cherokee 4.0 inline 6 crank no start, thought it was fuel pump how ever it had proper psi, checked for spark - nope, further diagnostic led me to crankshaft position sensor connector. Spread wires apart and verified no shorting out and the vehical started!! Bad engineering and wire placement, plus leaking valve cover gasket dosent help

2014 ford flex limited got a new motor and a hand full of goodies. 157k motor that started to have timing issues that turned into finding shaving in the motor.. owner found a junk yard motor with 75k miles on it..

Not too bad of a job considering it is a fwd.

Earlier this year... or last year i did both cv shafts and front hubs on this 2007 ford freestar.

3 weeks ago customer seen me and asked for me to look at the vehical about the growling.. at that time she needed a 4 wheel alighnment and new tires.. i told her its probably dew for hubs on the rear but untill the alighnment and tires was done i cant tell, when those got done she said the noise got louder, she also said power stearing was acting up... on the test drive i verified it was a hub, as for the power stearing it didnt do well at an idle...

Friday she called for a jump start and come to find out her alternator had quit... loaded up on car trailer and took it to the shop for the hubs and alternator / battery issue

I know... its been a while been doing long term projects for family and some of my own.. knocked out 2 today...

The motor running is a 97 c1500 2wd with a 5.0, it was rough and multiple codes, on the random misfire a new cap and rotor was installed, helped but not 100%, cleared codes and a week later threw a maf ( mas air flow ) sensor, was thrown, cleaned sensor - no help, replaced new ran better but still not 100%, truck threw random misfire again.. checked fuel psi, koeo 65 which is exactly where i needed to be but the moment the pump shut off the psi dropped to 0, bad, koer it was about 50 to 55, sence it was running rich ( smell it ) a regulator was installed... as you can see the theiry was correct... on regulator as to the one clean spot on the intake

Car wouldnt start randomly, owner installed a new battery which wasnt the cause how ever being 4 years old it didnt hurt. Finally on a cold day it showed its attitude, diagnoised it and verified that it had to be a starter.. after removing the starter it was verified... 1 the grease inside of it was sticky even for a warm starter and it ratteled.. it wasnt too hard to get to... for once

2016 kia optima.. threw knock sensor code ( 3 times ) and verified it has a actual knock at 2k rpm.. did further researc...

2016 kia optima.. threw knock sensor code ( 3 times ) and verified it has a actual knock at 2k rpm.. did further research and found that KIA had sent a Recall on the motors because the bearings were not lasting as long as they were designed even with on time maitenance... owner called and verified with dealership that her car is under the recall.. I took vehical up to kia in dodge city.

Hopefully they will have it ready at a reasonable time
