Quick mid-week test for you, and it only takes about 10 seconds.
Grab a penny, turn Lincoln's head upside down, and stick it into your tire tread grooves.
If you can see all of his head, your tread is worn down and it's time to talk tires.
If part of his head disappears, you're still good.
This matters more in summer heat than people realize. Hot pavement plus low tread equals less grip when you need to stop fast. And speaking of low, always check your pressure when tires are cold (first thing in the morning, before you've driven anywhere). Heat makes air expand, so a midday reading can lie to you.
That TPMS light on your dash isn't just decoration either. It means a tire is low, not that something's broken.
Don't ignore it, don't panic either. Just get it checked.
If you run the penny test and Lincoln's whole head is showing, swing by or book online. We'll get you taken care of!
