Good morning and happy Sunday, it’s been a few days since we posted. We have been following many tracks and their decision to transition to Predator motors for mini wedges in 2025 and 2026. We wanted to wait to see how this new rule would work for tracks in our area. It is our decision along with Little Muskie Speedway to implement the Predator 212 hemi and non hemi for 2026 for both rookie and veteran mini wedge classes. We will post a detailed rule set this week but to give everyone a head start on their motors we can list the basics:
1. Out of the box hemi or non hemi
2. Governor must stay in tact and surge. Max RPM checked on a kart stand is 5500rpm
3. No modifications or alterations of motor besides what is listed.
4. Any spark plug allowed
5. Throttle adaptor on blower housing permitted.
6. Max 10.8 valve springs allowed. (Checked with AKRA dead weight)
7. Any clutch permitted
8. Clutch guard mandatory
9. $200 claim for racers on lead lap that finish race

You may contact Tristin Moran or Bear Tamasovich if you need clarification or questions about the rules. We understand this motor may not suit everyone but it falls in line with the majority of local tracks using Predator motors for 2026. Thank you for your continued support.

Here’s our 2026 kart racing schedule celebrating our 14th consecutive year:

June 13th Opening night featuring Ohio Valley Predator Championship along with all normal classes

July 11th King of the Ridge 14 with our legendary hog roast and money race

September 12th 2nd Annual 4hr Endurance race along with all normal classes

We will have a practice day in late April or early May to be announced

BearTrax Speedway this Saturday!

Come on out this Saturday for great racing with the Predator Race of Champions event with huge trophies and Burris Champ Series guaranteeing $200 and a chance at $2000 after the main show for the 4 hour endurance race.
Get your endurance team ready. Concession stand will be open the entire night and ran by Gary John and Ellie!

Rules for the 4 hour enduro kart race September 20th:

1.Any kart chassis permitted. The chassis you begin the race with is the one you must use the entire race.

2. Any motor and clutch permitted

3. Maximum 4’ of 3/8” max inside diameter fuel line permitted

4. Maximum one 4 quart fuel tank permitted .

5. Any Burris slick tire

6. No weight minimum, all kart racers must be 13+ yrs of age. Minimum 2 and maximum 4 kart racers per team. Each team racer must complete at least 20 minutes of racing within the four hour race.

7. Team that completes most laps in 4 hour period will be declared winner.

8. Designated contiguous pit area for enduro teams to exit and enter track safely.

9. Each team must bring one person to score laps.

10. “Soft” yellow cautions will be enforced for karts that wreck or break down to get them back to pit area. Red flags will be used when unsafe to allow karts to continue under caution speed.

11. All interpretation of rules will be from a final decision of Bear.

Another King of the Ridge in the books! Although we only got half the show in it was memorable as always. Great racers, great food, and great racing filled the day. Mother Nature reared her ugly side before we were able to finish but we did get the heat races in to make it official.
