While the rumors get passed around and the drama keeps getting recycled, we keep spending our time doing something a little more productive buying trucks, growing the fleet, and making moves.

We just keep leveling up.

With back to school right around the corner, this one hits a little closer to home for me.

Growing up, my mom raised four kids on her own. She worked hard and did everything she could to make sure we had what we needed, but there were still times we went without. I remember going to school in clothes that werenā€™t the nicest, not having some of the things other kids had, and getting made fun of for it.

That feeling sticks with you.

Because of that, Oakmont Towing & Recovery is putting up $1,500 to help local kids and families in need get ready for school this year.

We want to help with things like school supplies, backpacks, clothes, shoes, and other back-to-school necessities. If you know a family in the Frederick area that could genuinely use some help, please send us a private message. Weā€™ll keep everything respectful and private. Nobody should ever feel embarrassed for needing a little help.

Weā€™d also love to see some other local businesses in Frederick step up and join us. It doesnā€™t have to be a huge amount. Money, clothes, shoes, backpacks, suppliesā€¦ anything helps. If a few businesses come together, we could make a much bigger difference than any of us could alone.

And if nobody else joins in, thatā€™s perfectly okay. Weā€™re still going to do what we can for as many kids as we can.

Every kid deserves to walk into school with their head held high, feeling confident, prepared, and excited for the year ahead.

Letā€™s show these kids what Frederick looks like when the community comes together. ā¤ļø

While some people stay busy watching, talking, and wondering what Oakmont is doing nextā€¦ weā€™re busy buying trucks and growing the fleet.

Another truck added. Another investment made. Another step forward.

No corporate checkbook. No buyout. No shortcuts. Just work.

Now we secured Tow Lot #2 in Thurmont, Maryland.

Tow Lot #3 in Mount Airy is already on deck.

Itā€™s crazy what happens when you spend your time building instead of talking.
