We would like to thank the Fillmore Fire Department for choosing North Star Emergency Vehicle Service Inc. for the complete refurbishment of their 1996 Pierce Saber Enclosed Top Mount Engine.

Some of the work performed included:
-Full inspection of the chassis, pump and all major components
-Repair of suspensions and steering components
-Corrosion abatement of the frame and body
-The addition of a Foam Pro 2000 series foam system and required plumbing
-Reconfiguration of pump plumbing to the department's specifications
-Complete update of the emergency, DOT, and scene lighting
-Installation of a Whelen Core system
-Installation of IMMI Smart Dock air pack brackets
-And more small things specific for FFD

**We finished the project with a complete cleaning of the interior, exterior and update of vinyl graphics to match their newer apparatus.

Great job Emmit!

This young man is on fire lately! Emmit crushed a 25 straight during the Northwoods Invitational this past weekend and came right back tonight to shoot another 25 straight in Week 9 of 9 of our conference season. What a way to finish strong! Congratulations Emmit, keep up the great shooting!

We would like to thank everyone involved in getting our Engine its required and much needed refurbishment.

The refurbishment involved a complete bumper to bumper inspection to ensure the following:
- Safe to operate on the roadway
- Its pump will operate correctly
- Update the apparatus with new NFPA standards.

During a refurbishment, it is also a great opportunity to perform upgrades to systems that are out of date with new technology.

Things our engine had done:
- Repairs to Chassis, Suspension, and Brake systems
- Ladders swing hydraulic pump replacement
- Upgraded to a current Foam system
- Lights for the steps on the apparatus
- Upgraded 360 scene lighting
- Underbody protection coating
- Miscellaneous rust and body repairs

Local partnerships provided all the work listed.
